Beyond Radical Nonduality: Love, Wisdom, and Truth
Radical nonduality presents one of the most uncompromising expressions of awakening available today. It cuts directly through the idea of a seeker, a path, and even the possibility of realization itself. Its message is simple and absolute: there is no separate self, and there never has been. What is appearing is already whole, already complete, already beyond division.
For many, this recognition feels like the end of the spiritual journey. It dismantles the structures that once gave orientation, including identity, meaning, and even the sense of being aware. Yet, when looked at more closely, the way this message is communicated reveals something subtle. While it points beyond all knowing, it is still expressed through a certain kind of knowing. While it denies all positions, it is delivered with a kind of precision and consistency that resembles a position.

This article explores that paradox. Not to critique radical nonduality, but to understand the energetic and structural layers through which it appears. In doing so, a deeper integration begins to emerge. One where the clarity of nonduality is not lost, but where 'no-perspective' is  no longer held as the only valid perspective. What unfolds is a shift from 'uncompromising truth' to total inclusion, where even paradox is no longer a problem to resolve.

The Message of Radical Nonduality

Radical nonduality’s message is based on the clear seeing of non-separation.

Most traditional nonduality teachers are speaking from 5D consciousness. In 5D, knowing, understanding, and wisdom still seem real. So these teachers can still teach a "method" or speak of being "awareness" or "witness consciousness". This is still very much an experience of duality: the experience of being awareness and disidentifying from content like thoughts and emotions.

Radical nonduality has seen that even awareness or the I Am sense is still an illusory identity.

The message includes:
  • "This" is already whole, completely empty, yet appearing as everything.
  • There is no you.
  • There is no "individual" who can do anything, realize anything, or progress along a path.

This is clear seeing/realization of the non-dual 6D perspective (in Law of One terms). It is speaking from the place where knowing, understanding, and wisdom have been seen through, seen to never have existed at all.

However, it is still being communicated through a 5D lens or mental filter. While it points to 6D nonduality where everything is real and unreal, the delivery is highly 5D (Wisdom/Mind) in its absolute, uncompromising, and highly structured conceptual definitions.

There is nothing wrong with this message. In fact, Radical Nonduality is a beautiful manifestation of the clear seeing of 6D that can still be communicated in a way that the knower or self (in the audience) can still work with. But lets dive deeper to explore exactly what radical nonduality is.

The Definitions/Concepts That Give Rise to Radical Nonduality
The self is actually defined differently depending on which developmental stage the self is in (learn more here). This leads to no-self, or nonduality, actually being defined and experienced in many different ways.

At 5D, the self is defined as knowing or wisdom. So when t
he claim is made by radical non-duality speakers that the self IS knowing, you know that they are viewing the self through the 5D conceptual framework. The fact that they have seen through the self as knowing (they have seen that knowing is not actually real) suggests that they have had the 6D realization and are now looking at the world from an early 6D perspective.

The Self as Knowing
Radical nonduality uses 5D Truth or knowing to communicate the lack of truth or knowing. In other words, the message is that it comes from not-knowing or 'no-perspective'. Indeed, it does. Saying “no”, it’s not like that, it’s like this. Or, no, “there is no self”. This is coming from recognition of “not-knowing”.

Although the message is clear that knowing = not-knowing, if that 6D recognition was fully embodied/integrated, then the energy that separates knowing and not-knowing would have dissolved. In other words, there would be no need to say "yes" or "no" to questions because all answers are equally true. The answer could come from the ultimate OR the relative; it really makes no difference because in late 6D, the ultimate is not elevated as more true than the relative.

The realness of the experience is just as important as the unrealness of it.

Radical nonduality is saying, "The ocean is real, but the waves are just an illusion, so stop talking about the waves." But the ocean is the waves. Focusing on either one without the other is woefully incomplete.

Emptiness More Real than Form

5D is the density of distinction, patterns, and logic. Radical nonduality uses these exact 5D mental tools to deconstruct every question. It takes a 3D/4D question ("How do I find peace?"), runs it through a 5D mental filter (like a Q&A structure), strips away its dualistic assumptions, and spits out the 6D realization: "There is no you to find peace, there is only what is."

This is absolutely true from this perspective. There is no you. There isn't even any peace. But why did the mind select 'no you' and 'no peace' when everything is BOTH unreal and also REAL? Here, there isn't a bias towards the real anymore, but there is still a bias towards the unreal.

The 5D to 6D Transition
This message requires a mind with strict adherence to what is and isn’t truth (from this perspective, truth is defined as the 6D realization). The message is happening automatically and yet, it still has a highly structured, rigid mental position (of 'no-position'). It's a cool message because it can help the 3D/4D minds in the audience from buying into their own stories. It is a brilliant, highly specialized message that allows a 6D reality to be communicated through a 5D toolkit.

But...
Radical nonduality clearly sees that real = unreal, but the energy of the message is still mostly 5D (cold, uncompromising, rigid). Radical nonduality has a stabilized energetic anchor in the "Not-Two." Even though it says there is no truth, the negation of all separation (or the holding to emptiness) becomes a functional truth that denies the experience of fullness (e.g., suffering, selfing, etc...). It is a rigid, 5D "No-Position" position.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. It is simply an energetic mix of 5D and 6D arising from All That Is.

6D Integration

In the deepening of 6D, the energetic attachment to emptiness or 'not-knowing' begins to fade. Everything radical nonduality has seen is still obvious, but it is held so lightly that the opposite seems just as true. The experience of paradox dissolves because the emptiness/fullness can no longer be distinguished. Speaking from nothing and everything, from emptiness or form no longer seem different. Pointing can point to emptiness or fullness, self or no-self and it makes no difference.

This = That
The truth of the small self and the ultimate truth are the same thing, as radical nonduality claims, so why suggest that 'no-perspective' is more true than 'my perspective'? The mechanism of consciousness that generates answers such as 'yes' or 'no' begins to fall apart. Rather than answers arising towards emptiness or nothingness, the scales tip back towards balance where emptiness/fullness and nothingness/everythingness can no longer be prioritized as more or less real. Answers point in whatever direction they want or they don't point at all.

Any Perspective Can Arise
Thus, the sometimes cold rigidity of 5D radical nonduality falls away. Compassion arises in a new way that allows everything fully. The energy that could once communicate about the unrealness of the small self falls away because even the self illusion is just as real/unreal as everything else. Thus, speaking may happen from 'no-perspective' but it could also arise from any other perspective that wants to arise.

Self = No-Self
When "Self is a dream" and "Self is real" are equally true/untrue, then there is no longer the energy that arises to "correct" another person's perspective. They are given complete autonomy.

This total inclusion is often felt by the other person as compassion, but it is not compassion in the old way, the way that recognized suffering as real and empathized with it. It is a compassion that gives permission to All That Is to manifest as whatever arises. It invites everything to be exactly what it is while simultaneously recognizing its emptiness.

From here, one allows the suffering, seeking, anxiety, and grief to be fully felt as "real" while simultaneously seeing its unrealness. It is the complete embodiment of BOTH the relative and the absolute. Rather than seeing and holding paradox, this dissolves all paradox, because there were never really two things and thus, there was never really any paradox.

  • The early 6D consciousness has a message: "There is no you." “There is no awareness.” “Everything is real and unreal”.
    • This can be genuinely inspiring (and terrifying).
  • In late 6D consciousness, even this message has dissolved: There is no need to point to no-self, nothingness, or emptiness. There is no truth and nothingness is no more real than everythingness.

6D Embodiment
This is the difference between the peaceful clarity of "everything is nothing" and the  jarring embodiment of "everything is nothing AND everything". To be nothing is kinda nice, it's a break, it's peaceful. To be nothing AND everything is indescribable.

What Changes?
You don't exactly lose the 5D clarity of nothingness (although it can fade quite a bit); you just stop feeling anchored or attached to it. When asked about awakening, responses freely arise from all perspectives rather than just from ‘no-perspective’. A suggestion may arise, a pointing to nothingness can arise, or nothing may arise at all.

This is an energy that gives permission to all of existence (and even non-existence), rather than funneling people towards one perspective (even 'no-perspective'). This energy is often less clear, less predictable, and less wise. There is no consistent message whatsoever, because how could there be?  Yet, it is often a much "warmer" and more grounded expression of non-duality because it even allows duality.

Radical Nonduality & Beyond Is Still Incomplete

The thing about each perspective is that we can't actually see the perspective we're looking from until we've already moved beyond it. From the radical nonduality perspective, one can transcend the self (or, more accurately, see that the self isn't real). This involves  seeing that the knower doesn't exist. And there is no self to do this.

But what if you don't define the self as 'knowing'? Then the whole premise that one ends the experience of the self by 'seeing that knowing isn't real' doesn't make sense, right? The whole premise of nonduality seems to still rest on definitions that aren't ultimately real.

Nonduality Is Still Bound By Definitions
You can see this same issue in other forms of nonduality. Sometimes the self is defined as thinking, believing, seeking, a sensation, or awareness. The self could actually be defined as anything (because concepts aren't real). As long as we believe in anything, cling to anything, the self (or the sense of separation) can hide there.

Seeing that any one thing (like thoughts, seeking, or even everything) is an illusion doesn't actually resolve separation because this reality IS separation. Consciousness is separation. As long as this reality appears to exist, even when it's obvious that its just an appearance, even when it looks like a hologram with no time and space, there is still a contraction of separation. Nothingness is appearing as a field of experience, and that is still contracted energy, which both is and isn't real.

So Where Does This Actually End?
Some of the more painful experiences of this existence (the knowing, seeking, identifying, and thinking) can and do stop for some people.

But whether these experiences stop or not really has nothing to do with anything.
  • There are people whose thoughts stopped and yet they were still completely bound up in beliefs, concepts, and meaning about what caused it.
  • There are people who are aware that constructs/concepts are not real and yet seeking continues entirely undeterred.
  • There are people for whom seeking has stopped and yet the 'ultimate reality' or 'consciousness' still appears to be true.
  • There are people who say suffering has stopped who still believe they actually followed a path to get there.

You can call some or all of these people enlightened if you want to. The idea/concept of 'enlightenment' doesn't actually mean anything permanent, real, or stable and so it really doesn't matter.

An Anecdote from Nothingness

The only time I experienced the contraction drop entirely is right before and after cessation. When our reality of separation and duality flickers off momentarily, there is nothingness, no separation, not blackness, not the void. Literally nothing.

'Nothingness' can not be known until the reality reboots and reflects back on it. Upon the reboot of consciousness, apparent energetic contraction and separation are required for the reality to re-appear at all, and then to hold itself together as an apparent something (even though it's still nothing).

Final Thoughts on What's Beyond Radical Nonduality

Radical nonduality serves a precise and powerful function. It dismantles the illusion of separation with surgical clarity, leaving no room for the seeker to stand. In doing so, it reveals an expression of consciousness where everything is already whole, already complete, and beyond all effort or attainment. There is a purity to this message that is genuinely helpful.

And yet, as this recognition deepens, even this purity begins to soften. The energy and ability to share what has been recognized starts to dissolve. The distinction between illusion and reality, self and no-self, emptiness and fullness, no longer carries the same weight.

A Different Energy
What emerges is not a new teaching, but a different energetic expression. The sharp edge of negation gives way to a quiet inclusivity. The clarity of 5D wisdom is not lost, but it is no longer used to correct or dismantle. Instead, duality rests comfortably within non-duality rather than apart from it.

This is where compassion naturally returns. Not as something cultivated, but as a lack of rigidity within the realization. Rather than negativing the self, the self (and its energies) are invited to play in non-duality and realize their own emptiness if they choose to.  The self and its suffering is included fully, as part of the same undivided reality that radical nonduality points to.

In the end, radical non-duality points to what has not yet been fully embodied. As 'real' an 'unreal' stop seeming like actual separate things, as the BOTH/AND perspective starts to interpenetrate, the radical non-duality message dissolves, and speaking arises from a position or 'no-position' with no contradiction or paradox. As is recognized by radical nonduality, nothing has anything to do with anything and nothing actually points to anything. So eventually, even the pointing energy settles.
